Recently your club was asked to join in the Call To Arms, a community sports campaign to raise funds and awareness for men facing cancer, initiated by Essendon Football Club who wanted to show their support to team mate Adam Ramanauskas. Over 1700 teams from all different sporting codes across New South Wales have now signed up, but your club still has time to register.

AFL Masters is AFL football for over 32's and has been played for a number of years in Sydney in varying numbers and teams.What is AFL Masters for the Norwest?
Briefly the players will come from all over the North West region of Sydney and meet at one of several different grounds within the region on variance of days over a weekend.
Normally when the players meet their names are placed onto team sheets at random, someone is selected as Captain to assign positions, then get out and play footy. There are modified rules to protect the players, as one of our adages is that we still need to be able to go to work on Monday. more -->

At the recent AGM & subsequent Extra Ordinary meeting, it was voted that the GWFA be dissolved to make way for the AFL (NSW/ACT) restructuring of administrating Australian Rules Football in the Greater Sydney Basin. Now known as AFL Sydney West, the "Association" becomes a Sub Committee of the new Governing body known as AFL Greater Sydney Juniors, uniting all the satillite associations under the one set of rules (these new rules can be found in the "DOCUMENTS" section on the left hand menu)...
